All Standards Working Group and Subcommittee meetings, and Technical Session will be held at the Convention Center accessible from the hotel (through a bridge). Recommended safe method to go from Sheraton Hotel to the Convention Center is through the bridge on 2nd floor.
IF YOU COME ACROSS AN EMERGENCY WHILE IN THE HOTEL OR THE CONVENTION CENTER:
Use any house phone located throughout the meeting spaces to connect to the hotel operator for assistance. If the emergency calls for medical assistance, inform the operator and a CPR/AED/First Aid trained member of hotel Loss Prevention team will be alerted and respond with a medical bag to assist.

In the event that an evacuation becomes necessary, alarms will sound, followed by a recorded message:
EVACUATION GATHERING AREAS
Once you have exited the building, attendees and staff should proceed to the nearest evacuation assembly area using the available crosswalks and stand by for the “All Clear.”

- For medical emergencies call 911 from your cell phone – Provide the name of the hotel and conference room information to the 911 Operator.
- Call Hotel Operator for assistance from a house phone.
EVACUATION PROCEDURES
In the event that an evacuation becomes necessary, alarms will sound, followed by a recorded message:
- “An alarm has been activated. Please proceed to the nearest exit.”
- This verbiage and tones will repeat until the “All Clear” is given. The announcement that it is safe to return will be communicated to guests by hotel staff.
- Any fire or medical emergency will result in a response from the Dallas Fire and Rescue Department.
EVACUATION GATHERING AREAS
Once you have exited the building, attendees and staff should proceed to the nearest evacuation assembly area using the available crosswalks and stand by for the “All Clear.”
- The Convention Center evacuation gathering area is located at the back of the building, across Harwood Street at Pacific Plaza Park.
- The Hotel North Tower and Center Tower Guest Floors evacuation gathering area is on the north side of the hotel, across Bryan Street, at Cancer Park.
- The Hotel South Tower Guest Floors evacuation gathering area is on the south side of the hotel, across Live Oak Street, at the bus station.
